Unusual Cloud formation over Japan.
These long, crazy-looking clouds can grow to be 600 miles long and can move at up to 35 miles per hour, causing problems for aircraft even on windless days.
Known as Morning Glory clouds, they appear every fall over Burketown, Queensland, Australia, a remote town with fewer than 200 residents. A small number of pilots and tourists travel there each year in hopes of "cloud surfing" with the mysterious phenomenon.

“In terms of how they form, it's about air rising, cooling and then descending again”.

"The rising, cooling and falling of atmospheric waves create the thin strips of clouds”.

About Mark J Dunn

Mark J Dunn

Mark was born in Akron, Ohio on September 8th, 1963. His interest in photography began at a very early age. He enjoys the starkness of working with black and white spending hours in dark rooms perfecting his craft. He took that initial knowledge using it as a springboard to what his work has become today. Mark credits his artistic inspiration from his parents John and Ruth Dunn and his husband Russ Smith. Professionally his influences have been from Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Peter Max. In Mark's own quote ' Expressing distinctions between worlds of contrast brings understanding to our own. To understand our own is when we truly love ourselves ' Mark brings his personal philosophy of the Universal Laws of Attraction into a discipline...
